Stray Biography

Stray have been going since the 1960's with several album releases on Pye Records. They split up in 1977 with the advent of Punk Rock, but guitarist and vocalist, Del Bromham has continued the band with various line-ups to the present. The current line-up is Del Bromham (lead guitar/vocals), Pete Dyer (guitar), Stuart Uren (bass) and Karl Randall (drums). Although they were one of the hardest working bands around in the seventies, I never ever saw them then. It wasn't until 1997 that I first saw them live at the Grand in Leigh-on-Sea. Since then I have seen them live over twenty times and in the early 2000's promoted them several times. My favourite Stray album is Valhalla, closely followed by 10. Long may they continue to tour.
